The detail tables provide lists of gothic structures catalogued by Dr. James. For each there are links to multiple sources for written descriptions maps and images.

Readers are urged to add to the wealth on Flickr by uploading your own pictures using at least the following "tags":

| Department | The department in France in which the site is located. The link shows WikiPedia information about that department. | ||||||||
| Affiliation | Where supplied it typically indicates either a the monastic order or other information. The link shows WikiPedia information about that affiliation. | ||||||||
| Building Type | Most are churches, with some cathedrals, and other types. | ||||||||
| Rating | The place lists are created from three "ratings" that show in the Google Earth links.

| Latitude & Longitude | These values generally locate only the center of the town. Readers are invited to send me more accurate values - I'll update the database using those. | ||||||||
| James ID | This ID is a unique key that Dr. James uses to identify each structure. It will probably be of interest only to specialists. |
